De afgelopen maand hield James Salter een aantal lezingen als ’the Kapnick Distinguished Writer-in-Residence at the University of Virginia’. Het onderwerp van de reeks, The Art of Fiction, is nogal breed. Het is nogal een zit, ook omdat Salter niet al te duidelijk spreekt, maar niettemin een must voor liefhebbers van zijn werk.
