Nieuws: De shortlist voor de Women’s Prize 2019

29 april is de shortlist voor de Women’s Prize for Fiction 2019 bekendgemaakt. Op de shortlist staan The Silence of the Girls van Pat Barker; My Sister, the Serial Killer van Oyinkan Braithwaite; Milkman van Anna Burns; Ordinary People van Diana Evans; An American Marriage van Tayari Jones en Circe van Madeline Miller.

Juryvoorzitter Kate Williams over de keuze van de jury:

It’s a fantastic shortlist; exciting, vibrant, adventurous. We fell totally in love with these books and the amazing worlds they created. These books are fiction at its best – brilliant, courageous and utterly captivating.
